On Monday, July 12th, volunteers from the Switchbacks FC staff attended the 6th annual “Chip in for Children” golf tournament to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Colorado. Created by the Pikes Peak Volunteer Chapter of the Association of Volunteers, Colorado Springs, they aim to provide financial assistance for patients and families of CCH. This year’s proceeds will go towards underserved children in Southern Colorado, specifically in the areas of mental and behavioral health.

In order to play in the tournament, participants gave a donation for entry, and in return a goodie bag including: FootJoy Apparel, “19th Hole at Home” gift bag, in partnership with Premier Wine and Spirits, “Dinner to Go” including a Tops Friendly Markets gift card and a gift certificate redeemable at Oliver’s, Creekview or Britesmith Brewing, in partnership with Schutte Hospitality and other tokens of appreciation throughout the course.

The tournament included a variety of challenges in addition to the 18 hole course, like longest putt, longest drive, a putting contest, and more.
