Colorado Springs, CO (June 4, 2018) -- The Colorado Springs Switchbacks officially announced they have signed midfielder Karsten Hanlin today.
Hanlin, 24, joins the Switchbacks after appearing in two matches for the Real Monarchs SLC in his second season with the club. He made one start, totaling 87 minutes during the 2018 campaign. The six-foot midfielder is in his second professional season after playing at the University of Denver for four years. "Karsten will be a great addition to the team. He will add much needed competition and depth in many positions since he is very versatile," said Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "He comes from an organization in the Monarchs that were top of the league last season and Karsten has the right mentality to come in and help us immediately."
