Colorado Springs, CO (June 7, 2022) – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC and the USL Championship officially announced today that Matt Mahoney and Michee Ngalina have been named to the Team of the Week for Week 13 of the 2022 season, presented by Konami eFootball.
Matt Mahoney earned team of the week honors after a stellar performance on Friday night against Las Vegas Lights FC, recording the third goal of the night. He also completed 67 of 75 passes, won three of three aerial duels, and made nine recoveries and two interceptions.
Michee Ngalina also recorded a goal on Friday evening, as well as three shots. He also created two chances, completed 4 of 6 dribbles in the game, and won 6 of 10 duels.
Jimmy Ockford gets a shoutout as well, earning a spot on the bench after his strong defensive performance against Las Vegas.
The Switchbacks are now 9-2-0 in the league, putting them in the no.1 slot in the Western Conference for the fifth week since the 2022 campaign began.
