Colorado Springs, Co (August 30th, 2016) – The Switchbacks FC are ramping up for the final moments of the season on their road to the championship. There are 5 total matches left and the players have their eyes set on the goal. The next stop is against LA Galaxy 2 this Saturday, September 3rd at Switchbacks Stadium. This will be a huge game for not only the players, but for the organization as a whole because there will be an independence day sized fireworks display and many costumed patrons for Superhero Night.
There are so many exciting things happening in Colorado Springs and the Switchbacks do not want any person to feel left out. With that in mind, Switchbacks players Josh Suggs and Martin Maybin were joined by Batman and Thor as they went to Penrose St. Francis to bring some excitement to the patients and workers there.
“Josh and I were excited ever since we first heard about it. It was as rewarding as we expected,” said Switchbacks forward Martin Maybin following the tour around the facility. They visited the prenatal ward and a little bit of the pediatrics ward on the visit. Not only were the patients excited about this unexpected visit, but many nurses and doctors got in on the fun challenging Batman to arm wrestling, getting pictures taken, and making personalized videos for loved ones.
The Switchbacks thank Penrose St. Francis for this great opportunity to spread a little bit of joy to the people that need it most.
