Colorado Springs, CO (August 24, 2016) – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC officially announced the signing of South Korean forward Jungyeong Park.
Prior to his time in the USL, Park was a member of FC Seoul’s reserves and academy in the Korean K-League. Following his time with FC Seoul’s reserve and academy teams, Park signed with Real Monarchs SLC prior to the start of the 2016 season. Park and Real Monarchs mutually agreed to part ways a few weeks ago making him a free agent.
“We had to be creative in adding him to the team,” said Head Coach Steve Trittschuh on the signing of Park. “But, it all worked out, his visa just got approved and he’ll be ready to play tonight.”
Park’s signing comes shortly after the Switchbacks departed ways with South Korean Forward Taewoo Kim under mutual terms.
