COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (August 18, 2026) – MLS club Chicago Fire has recalled midfielder Sam Williams from his loan with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks, but will return to the Switchbacks on Monday, August 24.
Williams joined the Switchbacks on loan from Chicago Fire ahead of the 2026 USL Championship season. During his time with the club, he made 27 appearances, recorded five assists and 14 clearances, and posted an 88% passing accuracy.
