Colorado Springs, CO (August 29, 2026) — The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC earned all three points and their first regular season win on the road in over two months with a 0-1 victory over Lexington SC on Saturday night.
Colorado Springs looked to open the scoring before halftime, with #10 Adrien Perez and #11 Bryce Jamison each recording a shot on target. However, the match would head into the halftime break level at 0-0.
In the 74’, the Switchbacks finally broke through when #17 Sadam Masereka’s shot deflected off a Lexington defender and fell to #7 Jonas Fjledberg, who buried a shot from well outside the box to put Colorado Springs up 0-1.
The Switchbacks defense stood tall for the remainder of the second half, including nine minutes of stoppage time, sealing a 0-1 victory to get back in the win column.
Goalkeeper #1 Christian Herrera recorded two saves and his first clean sheet of the regular season. #18 Aidan Rocha created two chances, while #23 Garven Metusala finished with a 92.2% passing accuracy.
