April 24 2021 – On Saturday morning several members of the Switchbacks FC staff attended the annual Colorado Springs Polar Plunge and 5K.
The plunge, held at UC Health Park, works to raise money for over 15,000 Coloradan athletes who are involved with the Special Olympics. It enables them to become leaders in their community and to continue to compete while raising awareness about the program.
The event hosted many different activities where you could help raise money, including a pie in the face station, a plunge roulette, and the 5k itself. They also provided food trucks from the local Colorado Springs area to feed the hundreds of people in attendance. Our own Ziggy was in attendance as well, delighting crowds and keeping the energy up while helping our staff with some fun giveaway of their own.
