COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 5th, 2025) – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today it has signed midfielder Speedy Williams for the 2026 & 2027 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Williams returns to Colorado Springs after spending the 2025 season with Lexington SC, where he made 24 appearances, recorded 38 clearances and eight interceptions, and posted an 89.4% passing accuracy.

Williams originally joined the Switchbacks in December 2022. During his previous tenure with the club, he made 72 appearances, totaled 6,058 minutes, and provided nine assists. He played a pivotal role in the team’s 2024 USL Championship playoff run, helping secure the club’s first-ever trophy.

“Speedy coming back to Colorado Springs gives us a huge boost as he has been a major part of our recent history and can be another major part in bringing us forward again,” said Alan McCann. “His presence on the field and in the locker room is something fans and players have missed, so we’re really excited to have him back at Weidner Field.”

A four-time USL Championship title winner, Williams has left a significant mark on the league, claiming championships with New York Red Bulls II in 2016 and Louisville City FC in 2017 and 2018.

On the international stage, Williams has earned 36 caps for the Jamaican National Team and scored his first international goal in a 2019 Concacaf Nations League match against Aruba.

“The Switchbacks organization and the fans have always been good to me,” said Williams. “It’s a fantastic club with lots of talented players. I can’t wait to meet the team and help compete for the title again.”

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 3rd, 2025) – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today that it has signed forward Juan Tejada to a new contract covering the 2026 and 2027 USL Championship seasons, with a club option for 2028. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Tejada is set to enter his fourth season with the Switchbacks. Since arriving in 2023, he has made 94 appearances, recorded 15 goals, added five assists, and logged 5,406 minutes. He was named the 2024 USL Championship Final MVP, scoring the opening goal in the title match.

“There’s a reason Juan [Tejada] has become a fan favorite in Colorado Springs. He’s a warrior on the pitch and has brought us some historic moments with his goal contributions,” said Alan McCann. “He’s a fantastic example for any young footballer on committing to the cause. We’re delighted to have him back and looking forward to more of the big moments he can bring to the city.”

Tejada was acquired by Indy Eleven in July 2022 via transfer from the Tampa Bay Rowdies, contributing two goals and two assists in 28 appearances. He originally signed with Tampa Bay in 2019 as a preseason trialist and made an immediate impact, scoring 10 goals in his rookie season. Over three seasons with the Rowdies, he totaled 13 goals and three assists across 68 appearances and featured in five postseason matches.

Tejada also brings international experience, having represented Panama at the U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels. He earned his first senior national team appearance in 2020 during European friendlies, making his full debut against the U.S. Men’s National Team.

“Can’t wait to be back with the team. We all have something to prove, given last season’s results,” said Tejada. ” Excited to do it with the Colorado Springs people behind us at Weidner Field once again.”

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (December 2nd, 2025) – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today it has signed midfielder Aidan Rocha to a new contract for the 2026 & 2027 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Rocha is entering his third season with the club. Since joining in 2024, he has made 55 appearances, scored two goals, tallied three assists, created 15 chances, and logged 4,165 minutes.

“Rocha is a huge part of who we want to be and the standards we will be setting every day,” said Alan McCann. “His intensity, commitment to the cause, and consistency are values that make us better on and off the field. We’re delighted that he will be returning to continue his pursuit of pushing to new levels.”

The Maryland native began his career at Georgetown University, where he recorded five goals and six assists across 69 appearances. In 2023, he was selected 60th overall in the MLS SuperDraft by D.C. United and spent the preseason competing with the first team at the Coachella Valley Invitational. He later signed with Loudoun United in March 2023, where he recorded two assists, created 15 key passes, made 41 clearances, and finished the season with an 82.7% passing accuracy.

“I’m excited to be returning to the club for the next two seasons. This is a close group of players that are motivated to create a winning culture, and we are already striving to do that come next season,” said Rocha. “That opportunity is upon us, our fans deserve it with the unconditional support they give us at Weidner Field, and I’m so grateful to be a part of it.”

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (November 20th, 2025) – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today it has signed midfielder Stevie Echevarria to a new contract for the 2026 & 2027 USL Championship season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.

Echevarria, a veteran player, joined the Switchbacks in 2021. Since then, he has made 126 appearances, scored four goals, tallied seven assists, and logged 7,070 total minutes.

“Stevie [Echevarria] is part of this club’s DNA. He will consistently do whatever it takes for the betterment of the team on and off the field,” said Alan McCann. “I believe the fans see that every time he plays, and everyone who works with him on a day-to-day basis definitely sees it. We’re very excited that he is continuing on his story in Colorado Springs.”

His soccer journey began in 2011 when he signed with the New York Red Bulls Academy. He went on to attend Wake Forest University, where he appeared in 79 matches, scoring seven goals and adding six assists. After college, he played for NYRB II, making 19 appearances.

Echevarria also brings international experience, having debuted for Puerto Rico’s Men’s National Team in September 2024. Since then, he has earned eight more caps and scored one goal.

“I’m buzzing to be returning in 2026,” said Echevarria. “I love this city, the fans, and the club.”
