Colorado Springs, CO (August 22, 2026) — After a weather delay, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC fell to El Paso Locomotive FC 0-1.
The Switchbacks pushed to get on the board in the first half, firing nine shots, including three on target, while controlling 51.4% possession. Defensively, #1 Christian Herrera recorded three first-half saves and #8 Frank Daroma added three interceptions.
With the full-time whistle nearing, El Paso took the lead when #13 Roberto Avilia delivered a ball into the box that deflected off #7 Zyen Jones, before going off the foot of Switchbacks #3 Jabari De Coteau and past Herrera for an own goal to put the visitors up 0-1 in the 85’.
Colorado Springs finished the match with five shots on target and 301 accurate passes. #18 Aidan Rocha distributed 42 accurate passes. In their home debuts for the club, #11 Bryce Jamison recorded three shots, while De Coteau won five of eight duels.
