Jordan Schweitzer went out of his way yesterday to make a second visit to the children at the St. Francis medical center in Colorado Springs. The midfielder enjoyed his visit saying, “Hopefully we can come in and try to crack a smile and brighten their day a little bit.”
Jordan met with three families in his visit to the Pediatric ER wing of the St. Francis medical center and they were all excited to meet a professional soccer player for their hometown team. The day was great timing as it was the first birthday of one of the children, so Jordan got to partake in singing happy birthday and giving the gift of a Ziggy doll to the child. Jordan also had the privilege to meet a 10-month-old and his four-year-old sister, who couldn’t stop smiling when Jordan surprised her with her very own Switchbacks jersey.
The last family had the pleasure of talking to Jordan about soccer and the siblings were able to learn everything they wanted to know about the sport. Check out the pictures of Jordan in the community helping put smiles on everyone’s faces!
