On May 26th, The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC defeated Saint Louis FC 3-0 in a game that rewarded Luke Vercollone with a starting spot on the USL Team of the Week for his dominant performance. But the Switchbacks weren’t only winning on the field, they were making a difference off the field as well on Saturday night.
The Goat Patch Brewery Tribe is passionate about their full-time community beer, “It Takes A Tribe Red Ale”. Every Switchbacks fan was able to purchase this beer at Weidner Field to help support Angels of America's Fallen. Typically the GPB Tribe donates 25 cents of every Red Ale purchase in the tasting room but on this day only, every “It Takes A Tribe Red Ale” purchased in the taproom AND/OR Weidner Field resulted in a $1 donation to Angels of America's Fallen helping children of our fallen military develop into strong and successful adults by providing them with positive mentoring and developmental activities. At the end of the night, the Goat Patch Brewery donated $112 from the sales of their “It Takes A Tribe Red Ale”.
