Colorado Springs, CO (February 27, 2020) – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today their promotions calendar for the 2020 season highlighted by seven fireworks nights (May 5, June 20, July 1, July 4, August 1, September 5, and October 10) to complete the Summer of Fireworks.
The Switchbacks home opener is set for March 14th on Fake Paddy's Day when The Gazette is giving away 500 cowbells. The Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza is back in 2020 with the biggest fireworks show in Southern Colorado. Full 16oz beers will be available for the first 30 minutes after gates open at EVERY Switchbacks game in 2020! Tickets will start at just $12, so for the price of a Switchbacks ticket and 2-5 beers, it's cheaper than buying 2-5 beers at a bar or restaurant.
Popular promotion items are returning such as bucket hats (May 5, presented by Pikes Peak National Bank), Sabers on Star Wars Night (June 6, presented by Penrose-St. Francis), Switchbacks hats (June 20, presented by Pikes Peak Brewing Company), bobbleheads (July 1, presented by Fox21 News), Switchbacks blankets (July 4, presented by Oakwood Homes), Switchback back to school backpacks (August 1, presented by GE Johnson), Jersey Tee's (August 22, presented by Weidner Apartment Homes), and Free Underwear Night (October 10, presented by Sheath).
The Switchbacks will also return their poster series with those taking place on April 4, August 29, and September 26.
Among the new promotions will be a Switchbacks rally towel (July 25, presented by the Better Business Bureau), a Switchbacks pennant (September 5, presented by Children's Hospital Colorado, Colorado Springs), and a Switchbacks health watch (September 12, presented by Centura Sports Medicine).
The Switchbacks will cap off their 2020 home schedule with Fan Appreciation Night with a fireworks show on October 10. The night will also see the return of Free Underwear Night thanks to Sheath when the Switchbacks take on El Paso Locomotive FC.
The Switchbacks will open league play in the USL Championship on March 7th when the team travels to Oklahoma City to face the Energy FC. The Switchbacks home opener is set for March 14th where the team will face San Antonio FC in a rematch of 2019's final game of the season that resulted in San Antonio missing the playoffs.
