
Colorado Springs, CO (November 25, 2020) – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today that the club has signed José Francisco Torres, pending league and federation approval.
"I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and for the season to start winning games," said Torres.
Torres has spent his entire career playing in Liga MX, the top division in Mexico, spending time with Pachuca, Tigres UANL, and Puebla. In his time in Mexico, he has won four Liga MX titles, two CONCACAF Champions Cup titles, one Copa Sudamericana title, one CONCACAF Champions League title, and a Mexican Cup title.
The Longview, Texas native has 26 caps for the United States Men's National Team, including starting a World Cup group stage game against Slovenia in Johannesburg, South Africa on June 18, 2010. Torres was also a member of the U.S. squad that took second place in the 2009 Confederations Cup and the U.S. national team that won the 2013 Gold Cup.
