On Wednesday, May 12th, the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC held their annual Season Ticket Member Party, an event that provided season ticket members an opportunity to pick up their tickets and gifts, as well as see the brand-new Weidner Field for the first time. Also in attendance were the partnering groups that have contributed to the Switchbacks FC in some way for the 2021 season.
Guests received an exclusive packet reserved for season ticket members that included Switchbacks FC scarves, a clear bag to use on game days, and a coin that provides them with perks and benefits all across downtown Colorado Springs. Executive chef Amy Parrott curated a selection of foods for the guests to enjoy, and there was also a full bar service.
The evening culminated with an introduction of the 2021 Switchbacks team, as well as the grand reveal of our brand new home jersey. Speakers included President of the Colorado Springs Switchbacks Nick Ragain, head coach Brendan Burke, and our newly minted captain, #15 defender Jimmy Ockford. The evening ended in a spectacular lights and music show, displaying the new amenities and theatrical elements that can be expected at a Switchbacks FC home game.
