
The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC have officially clinched a spot in the 2021 USL Championship Playoffs and have their eyes on earning a home playoff game.
It all comes down to the final game of the regular season as the Switchbacks take on San Antonio FC in Texas. Both clubs are on 49 points with a home playoff game on the line to host a Pacific Division team in the Western Conference Quarterfinal. Even though the Switchbacks have a better goal difference, the league's first tiebreaker is head-to-head points earned in the regular season so the Switchbacks will need to win at Toyota Field on October 30th.
IF the Switchbacks WIN vs San Antonio:
- The Switchbacks move into 2nd place in the Mountain Division and will host the first round of the playoffs vs 3rd place of the Pacific Division (San Diego Loyal OR Orange County SC).
IF the Switchbacks DRAW vs San Antonio:
- The Switchbacks remain in 3rd place in the Mountain Division and will travel for the first round of the playoffs vs 2nd place of the Pacific Division (San Diego Loyal OR Orange County SC).
IF the Switchbacks LOSE vs San Antonio:
- The Switchbacks remain in 3rd place in the Mountain Division and will travel for the first round of the playoffs vs 2nd place of the Pacific Division (San Diego Loyal OR Orange County SC).
