The Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC are hosting a Cancer Awareness Night this weekend, September 3rd, and the match comes with a very special perk.
A limited edition jersey, made specifically for this match, will be worn by the players on Saturday night, and will then be auctioned off as a signed, game worn jersey. All money raised from the auction will directly benefit the Penrose Cancer Center, a group dedicated to providing innovated treatment for the people of Southern Colorado. This funding will also help support innovative pilot programs, research opportunities and support for patients through Patient Navigation.
Auction Details:
– Friday at 12 PM the auction will go live with select jerseys to begin bidding! (We can’t release all jerseys right away, as we can’t reveal our lineup before the match).
– Saturday about an hour before kickoff, the rest of the game worn jerseys will officially go live for bidding!
– Auction ends Sunday, September 4th at 12 PM MT.
– Jerseys will all be signed by the player who wore it!
The Switchbacks FC apparel store will also be selling a limited quantity of the jersey, with part of the proceeds also benefitting The Penrose Cancer Center. These jerseys are first come first serve, so make sure you get to the gates early to grab yours on gameday!
