COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Dec. 16, 2022) – Last Thursday the Switchbacks front office staff took the day to volunteer at the Springs Rescue Mission as part of Love Bigger Thursday.
After a tour of the facility and an overview of the different opportunities that Springs Rescue provides to their guests, the team was able to roll up their sleeves and get to work. The team helped with a variety of tasks around the facility. From cleaning the kitchen and eating area, to preparing dinner, and serving the team did it all. The kitchen at Springs Rescue was excited to have the extra hands and was even able to make their signature Chef’s salad to have enough for several days moving forward.
For the Switchbacks front office, it was exciting to get out and help the community. Part of the club’s mission is to aid and benefit the local community, and the staff was able to do that during this outing. Springs Rescue Mission houses over 200 individuals on a nightly basis, which is vital during the winter months in Colorado Springs.
