Midfielder

During his 25-day contract with the Switchbacks, this midfielder made two appearances and showcased his precision with an impressive 86.7% passing accuracy.

Creek began his collegiate career at Western Michigan University (2019–2021), where he made 45 appearances, scored five goals, and tallied 13 assists while earning All-MAC honors before transferring to the University of Kentucky, adding 41 matches and five assists across the 2022 and 2023 seasons. In 2024, he stepped into the semi-professional ranks with Huntsville City FC in MLS NEXT Pro, where he recorded one goal and two assists in eight matches, and in 2025, he joined USL League Two side Asheville City SC, making an appearance in the U.S. Open Cup.

This midfielder joins the Switchbacks after recently playing for Las Vegas Lights, where he accumulated 1,258 minutes on the field. During his time with the Lights, he scored one goal, had nine clearances, created 18 chances, and maintained a passing accuracy of 96.1%.

Adams developed in the youth academy of current Premier League club Brentford FC. Along with playing for the Bees, he had loan spells at Barnet and Stevenage in England’s lower leagues before making his move across the Atlantic to join Louisville City FC for its inaugural season in the USL Championship.

Adams briefly returned to England in 2016 to play for Stevenage before signing with Real Monarchs SLC. There, he became a key part of the midfield that helped the team win the 2017 USL Championship Players’ Shield. After three seasons with the Monarchs, he joined Orange County SC in 2019 and later moved to San Diego Loyal SC for the club’s inaugural season in 2020.

Micaletto joins the Switchbacks after recently playing for New Mexico United, where he accumulated 1,948 minutes on the field. During his time with United, he scored one goal, recorded four assists, created 40 chances, and maintained a passing accuracy of 79.3%.

Micaletto began his professional career in 2019 when he signed with Tormenta FC in USL League One. Over three seasons with the club, he made 71 appearances, scored 22 goals, and contributed eight assists.

Following several standout seasons with Tormenta FC, Micaletto earned a move to MLS Next Pro, joining Columbus Crew II in 2022. He quickly rose to the role of team captain and played a key part in their success, earning MLS Next Pro Cup MVP in his first year. During his time with Columbus, Micaletto made 54 appearances, scoring 19 goals and adding four assists.

Fontana joins the Club having most recently competed for PEC Zwolle in the Eredivisie, where he made 10 appearances and logged 350 minutes of playing time, refining his skills in a new footballing culture. Prior to competing in the top-flight in the Netherlands, Fontana had competed for Ascoli Calcio in Italy’s Serie B.

Fontana’s career began in the Philadelphia Union Academy, where he honed his skills and developed a strong foundation in the game. His potential was clear, and soon, he made the leap to the Union’s reserve team, Bethlehem Steel FC, where he played alongside other emerging young talents including current United States internationals Brenden Aaronson and Mark McKenzie and recorded 49 appearances.

In 2018, Fontana earned a promotion to the Philadelphia Union’s First Team, signing a professional contract as a Homegrown Player. Over the next few years, Fontana made 44 appearances for the Union, scoring eight goals and contributing two assists, before making the move to Italy to begin his European journey.

Hanya will be entering his second season with the Switchbacks. After playing with the Switchbacks during the 2024 season, Hanya had a large impact with a total of 2,333 minutes across 37 appearances. Hanya earned 2 assists and 5 goals.

Hanya’s acquired from Rapids 2 in 2022, he has made 50 appearances, played for a total of 4,165 minutes, had 17 goals, 13 assists, and was named to the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Best XI. He was called up to play for the Colorado Rapids, making two appearances. 

Yosuke Hanya made his collegiate debut in 2017 for Tokyo Gakugei University, then moved to the States to attend the University of Massachusetts. Throughout his college career at UMass, he made 46 appearances, had two goals, and 17 assists.

This midfielder formed an impressive list of achievements throughout his college career. In his Junior year, he was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team. Finishing his senior year in 2021, he earned a spot on the United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-Region, First-Team All-Atlantic 10 selection, and United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-Region honoree. As a graduate student, he was named to the  Atlantic 10 Second-Team and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third-Team. 

Hanya started his career playing for FC Tokyo U-15 from 2011-2013, and helped the team win the Prince Takamado Trophy. From 2014-2016, he played with FC Tokyo U-15, FC Tokyo U-18, and FC Tokyo U-23. This Japanese native made his first mark in his international career, earning a spot on the Japan U-16 National Team in 2014 and was also a member of the Japan U-19 National Team in 2018.

Rocha, 23, was a key starter for many games throughout the 2024 season and made 35 appearances for the Switchbacks. This midfielder scored two goals, had one assist, six shots on target, and won 119 duals. 

The Maryland native started his career at Georgetown University, where he had five goals and six assists in his 69 appearances. In 2023, he was selected 60th overall in the MLS SuperDraft by D.C. United and spent the preseason playing with them in the Coachella Valley Invitational. Then got signed with Loudoun United in March of 2023, where he earned two assists, had 15 key passes, 41 clearances, and held a passing accuracy of 82.7%.

Rios, 18, will be joining the Switchbacks in 2025 for his third year with the team, and his second on the first team roster. He made six appearances for the club this season, with an 85% passing accuracy rate, 

The Pueblo, CO native started his career with the Colorado Springs back in 2022 when he was the first player signed to then newly created Switchbacks Academy program. After a season proving himself with the academy team, Rios was signed to a first team contract for the 2023 season, where he earned two goals in five appearances.

Echevarria, 28, is a seasoned player going into his fifth season with the Switchbacks. Throughout the 2024 season, he made 15 appearances, made nine clearances, four interceptions, and held a passing accuracy of 80.7%. 

This midfielder was called up for the first time to play for Puerto Rico’s national team this year and made a total of four appearances.

Echevarria started his soccer career in 2011 when he was signed with the New York Red Bulls Academy. He attended Wake Forest University where he appeared in 79 games, netted seven goals, and had six assists. After college, he played with NYRB II making 19 appearances before signing with the Switchbacks in 2020.

Zandi, 28,  made an incredible impact on the club this year, helping bring a Championship Cup home. Throughout his time with the club, Zandi has made 75 appearances, 13 goals, and had eight assists. Just in the 2024 season, he played a total of 2,326 minutes, had 12 shots on target, and held a passing accuracy of 80.3%. 

 A Pennsylvania native, Zandi played for Villanova University. This midfielder went on to join USL Championship League signing with Bethlehem Steel FC earning three goals and six assists.
